My 4year old son is obsessed by these things!

Clics are a European made construction toy that look like jigsaw pieces but fit together in 3 dimensions like Lego to make just about anything. There is basically only one type of piece, just in different colours. These click together and when connected as a whole are very strong. They can be made flat as a "net" in maths speak or just added one by one. For example if 4 are connected like this:

[]-[]-[]-[]

Then the first can loop round to the last and a cube is made. Add another each end and you have a very solid cube. Add a few more and thread an axle piece through and some wheels and you have a train. Add a tow-bar piece and make another and you have a train and a carriage. All of this comes very quickly to kids because there is only one type of construction method. They can add on bits as they go without it falling apart.

Excellent 7yr old plays with these at school and had been asking for them for home. Easy to play, lets his imagination run wild. 3yr old bruv even likes them. Would recommend.

My child enjoys building things and these are a little bit different than ordinary blocks but not as complicated for a younger child as mechano.
